Anyone For A Halloween Tag Swap?

5 Simple Rules:

(1) Leave a comment on this post to say you are in.
(Please be sure to leave your email address)

(2) Spread the word on your blog by posting the button above
with a link back to this post.
(No blog?  You are still welcome to join in).

(3) Create 5 Halloween tags approximately 2 1/2 x 5 inches.
Finish both sides nicely,
and be sure to include your blog or other contact info on back.

(4) Use whatever materials you like,
interpret the theme however you chose,
and do your best work.

(5) Mail them in plenty of time for me to receive them by
Monday, October 1, 2012.
Please include $3.00 for return postage.
(Note to International swappers:
once I have the returns packed,
I will email you with a shipping total,
you can send money via Paypal.)

I will swap them out and you will receive 5 tags
joined together in some sort of artsy way
(yet to be determined, heeheehee).

Remember,
this is a tag swap,
not an ATC swap.
You may use premade manila tags from the office supply store,
or make your own.
If you choose to make your own base,
please be sure that it is at least as sturdy as a manila tag.

Let the swapping begin!

enJOY Your Blessings,
Kimberly

  1. Oh this will be lots of fun!!!! Do you want the tags any particular orientation and should we leave hole free for binding or leave some other part embellishment free for binding?
    Thanks Kimberly!

  2. In answer to JoAnne's questions,
I think we will keep the rules loose this time around. You may orient your tags in either direction, I will be binding them through the hang hole and the covers I plan to make will be oriented in the hanging direction. I think ribbons, fibers, etc in the hang hole are great, but please do leave me some room to "bind" them together.
    hugs & JOY,
    Kimberly

  3. Kimberly,
Please count me in! By the way, the recent work you have posted is just wonderful. I'm getting that terrific back-to-school, autumnal feeling that precedes the crazy season from September to December where time seems to fly at an accelerated speed!

  4. Oh I want to be included..sounds like a great motivator for me to take some creative time again.
Your post did not appear on my blogger reading dashboard today. So per your email last week I went to my listings today to check on your lastest posts. and it says it posted 1 wk ago, but last week it did not show up as you have it posted today. Hope others are receiving it today.

Anyway I got the info and I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday weekend. No plans here, hubby is picking corn and I've been cleaning out my folks house.
Looking for treasures can be fun, but weather has a cooling here so much easier to do it now.

  11. Hi All,
Lynn questioned whether the tags should all be the same or different?

  27. Hi, I just have a question since I never did a swap before. Can the tags be a little bigger? 4x5 1/2 inch? Or is that to big?
    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  28. To respond to Constantina's question,
I personally like the idea of the tags being different sizes (within reason), so let's say that the minimum size is 2.5 x 5 inches and an inch or so more in either length or width is fine.
    hugs and JOY,
    Kimberly
