UPDATE:
I saw the doctor yesterday, he is pleased with the surgery results.
It will still be several weeks before I can see with the eye.
Your thoughts, prayers and good wishes
Have meant the world to me at this scary time.
I cannot thank you all enough.
God Bless You All!
Christmas 2012 (archive)
Hello My Dear Friends,
I thought a while about how much I wanted to share,
I am really an extremely private person,
but I did not want to seem "mysterious" when I close my shops this Monday.
This coming Thursday I will be having eye surgery to repair a small hole in my retina.
After a bombardment of doctors, tests, and a laser procedure,
I am happy to report that there are no underlying health problems that caused this condition,
it is just my middle-aged very near-sighted eyes,
and thinning retinas at blame.
Recuperation will be 5 days and nights spent face-down,
no cheating.
That will bring me to exactly one week before Christmas, yikes!
So, please excuse my lack of response to your comments,
my lack of visits to your blogs,
and the absence of personal wishes for the holidays.
As I mentioned, shops will close this Monday
and remain closed until after the New Year.
I will be sure to share a picture or two of our Christmas celebration.
May You and Yours
en-JOY the Merriest Christmas
and Your Blessings,
Kimberly

Isn't it amazing what doctors can do these days? Yes, it must be awfully scary for you, and yes, it is really bad timing with Christmas being just round the corner, but it will make such a big difference to you after the op. Wishing you a very speedy recovery and a wonderful and hopefully stress free Christmas, xx
ReplyDeleteThinking of You and hoping all things are going well.
ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly, I hope your recovery is going well! Thinking of you and enjoying your little gifts, Marti
ReplyDeleteDear Kimberly,
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I hope your surgery went well and that your recovery is going smoothly. Bless your heart! I'm sure it is no fun having to keep yourself face-down for days and days, but it will all be worth it to have your eyes healthy again. I am a fellow VERY near-sighted middle-ager, and also know that lots of detailed, close-up work can take its toll on these tired old eyes.
I just got my tags from the BlissfulART swap, and was SO LUCKY that one of yours was in my mix. LOVE IT so much!!
Take care, and Merry Christmas to you!
