12 x 12 Tuesday

Welcome back for another 12 x 12 Tuesday!
As promised last week,
the goal this week was to create multiple cards
from a single 12 x 12 sheet of paper.

You can check out my new Pinterest board,
for some suggestions of cut layouts.
The cut map I choose could make 16 cards,
however, I decided to use multiple pieces on several cards,
which left me with 11 cards.
I challenged myself to make 11 very different cards.
I did use 2+ additional sheets of the same pattern paper
to line and decorate the envelopes.

As always,
my kid cards are going to:

12 x 12 Tuesday

August is 12 x 12 Tuesday month
(my own personal declaration)
Every Tuesday I will feature one 12 x 12 piece of scrapbook paper,
and share how I have used it.

This week features this beautiful paper from Echo Park
(double-sided paper is a must for this project)

The goal was to use up as much of the paper as possible.
I was able to create an A2 size envelope (5.5" x 4.25"),
a mat for the front of the envelope,
a mat and frame for the card face,
and fussy cut flowers.

An 8.5x11 sheet of white cardstock,
foam squares,
stamps and ink,
adhesives,
and a few floral sequins
were the only additional items required.

I used a few dies,
but the rectangles could be cut with scissors or a trimmer,
and a circle would work just as nicely for the focal stamped image.

I have already begun next week's project,
and it is a bit of an opposite approach to this week.

Instead of using one sheet of paper on one card,
I will see how many card faces I can create with one 12x12 sheet.
This is contrary to how I usually work.
I have so many supplies that I feel I will never use them up,
so I seldom worry about making one sheet of paper cover so much ground.
It should be interesting.

Thanks for visiting today!

hugs,
Kim
