Sunday Blessings (literally)

 A quick little home decor share for you this Sunday,

and I do mean quick.

I have had the chalkboard/paddle for a couple years,

and it has been through several incarnations.

The "blessed" placemat is from Dollar Tree.

 I simply cut around the design,

and affixed it to the chalkboard with glue dots.

This project was inspired by much craftier peeps than me,

I found a number of YouTube videos using these placemats.

One of my absolute favorite decorative items in my home

is this pair of reproduction metal and wood candle holders.

I was looking to do a little summer sprucing to the mantel.

We actually live about a half hour from the shore,

but I love decorating with sea treasures.

I simply tucked a couple starfish

and a sand dollar into the metal flowers and leaves

of the candle holder,

and

instant Summer!

I have been the very happy recipient of some beautiful gifts lately.

This lovely heart charm is from sweet Terri.

Right now it graces my tiny feather tree,

an office fixture year-round.

Speaking of treasures,

my always thoughtful sil, Janet,

has spent the last few months helping her inlaws downsize in preparation of a move.

Janet combed through 80+ years of accumulated mementos

and saved all the things she knows I love best.

This is my favorite of the lot!
