I have finally done it!
My very first fabric and lace journal.
All of the beautiful girls are from
Paper Whimsy.
The images are printed onto fabric.
This journal has masses of bits
dangling from lengths of seam binding,
which are tied around the journal's spine.
An antique French postcard is tucked into
a lace pocket sewn onto the inside front cover.
The other images are digital pieces that I collaged
and once again printed onto fabric.
A genuine antique Charlotte
tucks nicely into another lace pocket.
Oodles of vintage lace and mother of pearl buttons
fill pages created from recycled linen fabric.
A gorgeous vintage bloom is perfect on this page.
The back cover is embellished with some of
my favorite bone and mother of pearl buttons.
Another vintage bloom fastens the seam binding to the spine
and gives it a lovely finishing touch.

Dear Kimberly
What an absolute stunner for your first little lace book! So many pretty doilies, laces and pieces of broderie anglaise!
Often they need very little added to the pages with these gorgeous pieces.
Your PW images are soooo gorgeous too.
Well done dear friend!
It will be hard to part with this first one I'm sure!

Gorgeous!!!!
Wow just beautiful! I am still working on my ATC journal for the Fabric of Nature but wont be as wonderful as this. Curious - how did you do the spine? Just wondering how you pulled it all together so I can learn :> Hoping I can get done while on vacation so I can send you pics...
Kimberly, your journal is just stunning!
Kimberly, your creativity is such an inspiration! Your journal is just yet another beautiful piece of artwork!
Kimberly, this is so scrumptious and rich! You do such dreamy work. I love all the dangling bits hanging off the spine! And all of the laces you used are so gorgeous, each and every piece!
Beautiful!
I'm with Jewels....could you please explain how or do a tutorial on how you made the journal?? It is beautiful....not surprising seeing all your other work. :)
Kimberly,
For your very first fabric journal you sure nailed it, love it!
I am also interested in how you did the spine, this part of making a fabric journal is holding me back.
