Stash To Treasure Saturday - #2

Welcome to week 2 of
STASH TO TREASURE SATURDAY!
Each week I take some long-neglected item(s) from my stash
and create something new.
I know we all have those items,
the color is not now,
the style is so 2000s,
the theme is no longer relevant.
I am going to try my best to take those items and breathe new life into them.

Today I am sharing some vintage crochet pansies.
I have lost count of how many of these lovely pansy-edged doilies
have made their way home with me over the years.
I coffee dyed this one a while back,
used a few of the sweet flowers,
but these tattered remains have sat for quite some time.

By adding vintage stamens and velvet leaves
what was once old,
is new again.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Please leave a comment.
At the end of the month,
I will announce a random winner
of a special gift.
(only one comment per post will be entered).

Lovely weekend to you all,
hugs,
Kim

What a lovely rework to create these "new" flowers!

The pansies are so sweet. I'm glad you were able to do something new with them.

Loved your idea. I have a collection of doilies too...but I am too "chicken" to cut them up!

How very pretty. I have a big doily collection too....but I am too "chicken" to cut them up! I rotate them around my home each month.

I have some of these same types of vintage doilies.. I did cut the flowers off but they are still sitting in my stash bag! This is a darling idea.. I like the addition of the stamens. You have such neat ideas! Marilyn

What a clever way to reuse these. I never would have thought of this. Of course, I have some of these crochet flowers sitting in my stash as well.

That is a great idea! I hate to cut up these kinds of doilies, but I know in doing so they will get so much more use than if I'd left them intact!

I fear I would not have been so brave as you to cut this doily apart. The crocheted Pansies are lovely and you have created lovely new floral picks with them. Lovely! <3
