$5.00 FriYAY!

$5.00 purchase from the Dollar Tree

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOMEMADE ENAMEL DOTS:

spread pony beads on a parchment lined cookie sheet,
holes facing up

melt in 400 degree oven for about a half hour
(warning, these smell as they melt, so it probably is not the healthiest thing to do indoors,
I suggest using a toaster oven outdoors,
some people have melted them on an outdoor barbecue grill)

adhere the little blobs to strips of glue dots for easy use
(so technically, this is over $5.00 because of the glue dots,
but there are plenty of colorful dots to use in future projects)

A few stamps, some inks, and adhesives
were all the additional supplies needed to make these cute boy cards.
The travel theme stickers are nearly used up,
but otherwise, there are lots of leftovers for future projects.

These cards will be going to:

$5.00 FriYAY! (double dip)

$5.00 worth of Dollar Tree finds,
plus a few extras from my supplies
(adhesives, 6 dies, 3 punches, sentiment stamps, ink, glitter pen, cardstock and envelopes)
came together to create these 6 OWLdorable cards.
They will be heading to Send A Smile 4 Kids.

There are plenty of leftovers after these 6 cards were made.
In fact, here are some bonus projects
which incorporated the google-eyes and foam sheets from above.

If I double count the foam sheets and google eyes,
this group of makes cost a total of $4.50.
The ribbon was only $.50 at Joann Fabrics (on clearance).

I used Tim Holtz Mini Paper Rosettes die for the bookclips.
Additionally, cardstock, envelopes, circle die, paper clips, stamps, adhesives, and ink
were used to complete these projects.

A circle die cut from fun foam covers all the messy bits on back.

At the end of the month,
I will announce a random winner

$5.00 Friday - #1 & May's Giveaway Winner!

What can I create after a $5.00 trip to the Dollar Tree?

How about a cute folder filled with handmade cards
and a couple of gift bags perfect for wedding season?

I used the five purchases in the first photo,
and allowed myself a few simple supplies from my studio.
These included adhesives, inks, one stamp set, a few shape dies,
a couple eyelets and some seam binding.

The sticker selection limited the number of cards to 6,
which left 2 extra heart cards,
which were used to create the tags on the gift bags.
Below is a little step-out of the process.
I have not written instructions,
but I am happy to answer any questions left as a comment.

I know I will be using these bags soon for upcoming occasions.

Now on to the May Giveaway.
The random winner will receive this folder and the 6 cards
pictured above and below.

...and the winner is...
