Christmas In July

Michele is hosting a Christmas in July Swap, just click the photo above for details.
I thought I would share a few photos of my decorating from last year.

I mix old and new, Victorian-style tin plates, cute new little snowman and a vintage candy container snowman from the 1950s. To my eye, it all seems to work.

My reproduction feather tree was decorated entirely in vintage mid-century ornaments. I find it charming to think of how many children woke up to these ornaments on Christmas morning. My sister just thinks of them as dead people's Christmas decorations, she watches too much of The Ghost Hunters.

Our main tree, which we cut ourselves every year, is decorated entirely of blown glass ornaments. I have the ornaments from my Grandmom's tree and a multitude of ornaments that we have collected throughout our marriage, many of which have significant meaning. This collie is for our beautiful Belle, who we lost before Thanksgiving last year.

Merry Christmas In July, don't forget to stop by Michele's blog to join in the fun.

enJOY Your Blessings,
Kimberly

Ohhh I am such a sucker for Christmas anytime of the year!!! I love your white feather tree. How big is it? Where did you get it? I have several repro green ones and one small white goosefeather one. But I really want a large white one. Just became your newest follower too!

Happy Christmas in July!!

Thanks Kimberly for all the advertizing about the Christmas swap. I thought it would go over really well, but I am extending a little bit trying to get some more partners. I will most likely be your partner, but I will let you know about it on July 8th or 9th. Thanks again, you are a jewel!

How fun to see your Christmas decorations in July. It's refreshing and cooling. We just returned from the beach where it was hot hot hot so that made viewing your pretty decorations all that more special. Thanks so much for coming by my blog and leaving the nice comment. I hope you will visit often. ~ Lynn@thevintagenest
