I hope everyone had a lovely Easter.

I made something for the Easter table that I have been thinking about for a long time.
(The flowers were from my boys :-)

I created a velvet egg to nestle in with my velvet bunnies.

I covered a large plastic egg with silk velvet,
added vintage trim,
some vintage millinery flowers,
a spray of vintage wired pearls,
and a bit of German glass glitter.

I confess that this was one of those projects that seemed very daunting,
probably the reason why it was on my mind for a few years
before it became a reality.

Having worked out the details,
I am pretty sure I will be making more in the future.

I have been busily creating cards for
Operation Write Home.
I will photograph them before mailing
and be sure to share them here soon.

Wishing you lovely Spring days.

Oh so beautiful, what a lovely project, dear Kimberly, -I so love what you did with the plastic egg- that now is a stunning piece of easter decoration, with the velvet blue, the wonderful trim and the old flowers- -and resting so wonderfully together with your sweet rabbits -love the one with egg on its back- and the great bouquet from your men !!
Hugs from Dorthe
