Farmhouse Kit - Making Embellishments

I am still working with my mock Farmhouse kit.
Since this is a kit that I put together myself
with bits from around my studio,
there were no cute ephemera collections to use.
So what to do?
Make some!

I purchased this adorable layering stamp set
to use for kids' cards.
I realized, horses are on farms, well duh.
I created this trio of embellishments
with scraps of paper, bling, flowers and trims from my kit;
as well as, the stamped horses.

Thanks for visiting.
Make something from nothing today!

hugs,
Kim

12 Monday's 'til Christmas

Here is a little look at the first of my 2018 Christmas cards:

These 8 cards use paper from
LET IT SNOW by American Crafts.
It is an older pad (2015) and is most likely no longer available.

This paper, with its updated retro vibe,
was a perfect challenge for me this past weekend.
I was excited to use my Christmas supplies,
and decided I would make 8 unique cards
using a different stamp and/or die set for each.

I used half the paper pad
(I line my envelopes,
so at least 2 sheets of paper were used for each card)

With the other half paper pad,
I created this little paper crafting kit.
It's perfect for card making,
tag making,
journaling,
December daily,
or scrapbooking.

Thanks for visiting today!

Kim

A Little Sharing

I was in the mood to create,
so I grabbed one of the kits from my shop.
(there is still one just like it available)

These 4 fiber and paper
mixed media pieces were fun and easy to create.

There is something so sweet about these little doorknob-size
pocket pillows.

Layered paper and fabrics
with a bit of machine stitching
were all it took to make the greeting card
and the hanging pin thingy
(that's the technical term).
Then a couple pieces of salmon-pink craft felt
were die-cut into tag shapes for the pages of this petite needle and pin book,
and a few tiny flowers scattered on the cover.

I started this 2 page layout for a journal project.
It is in need of a lot more embellishment.

This is what still remains from the kit.

My kits have been so well received,
that I thought it time to share a little inspiration
for using them.

hugs,
Kim

Be Inspired

I have been working on
Christmas and Winter themed Inspiration Kits.

I have a difficult time letting go sometimes.
Many of these items have been greedily kept for years.
(insert visual of Gollum with his Precious :0)

Playing with these treasures and arranging these kits
makes it is a bit easier to let go of my Preciouses.

I only hope that they all find good new homes,
where they will continue to inspire.

I am sharing this blog post at:

en-JOY an inspiration filled week,
and your blessings,
Kimberly

Alice In Wonderland Inspiration Kit

My mantra these days can be pretty much be summed up as:
"I will not buy any new old stuff,
until I have used my old old stuff."

I have so many beautiful old treasures that simply must find a new home.
I have decided to create a number of themed kits
and offer them for sale.

Each contains beautiful antique and vintage lovelies,
can be easily disassembled for use in new art,
but are pretty enough to be displayed as is.

I have listed 2 kits,
but there are many more coming soon.

en-JOY a sweet weekend,
and your blessings,
Kimberly
