Who Knew?

Did you know that some of the scrapbook manufacturer's
offer their paper and embellishments as digital downloads?

This was new to me.
American Craft offers bunches and bunches of digital kits for purchase on their site.

I purchased one paper pack and one embellishment pack,
both from Maggie Holmes/Crate Paper.
This collection is "Willow Lane" which was released last summer.

I used Photoshop to layer the images;
size them;
and print them onto printable fabric sheets,
which I used to create these fun sachet pillows.

These were gifted to the recipients of yesterday's birthday cards.

Be sure to come back later today,
I will be announcing the February giveaway winner!

hugs,
Kim

The Joy Of Sewing ATCs

This ATC is created on a mini canvas,
how cool is that?
Love those vintage pink buttons!
by Diane at Nellie's Nest

Another wonderful ATC
by Jo at Lilly Pilly
Love the mini eyelets, laced like a corset
and Jo included an Australian stamp in the bottom corner
to remind me of how far this little gem traveled!

Another treasure by
Natalea of Kandeland
That's a real vintage card of hooks and loops,
too sweet!

Love this card by
Donna at Morning Glory,
check out the sweet lace trim at the dress' neckline!

Another wonderful ATC on wood by
great vintage stamped images!

Thank you to
Diane, Jo, Natalea, Donna, and Kelly
for swapping Joyful Sewing with me.

Thank you as well, to everyone who has joined in on my
Tuesday Trading Card Swaps
all these past weeks.
The swap will return in August!

Is There A 12 Step Program For ATC Addicts?

If not, I may have found a calling.

My dear friend, Natalea, had invited interested ATC enthusiasts to swap with her.
Since I pick a theme every Tuesday for an ATC swap,
I asked her to pick two themes.
She chose
Paris & Vintage Sewing.

These are the Paris

and the Vintage Sewing cards I sent her way,

and here are the beautiful cards I received in return!
her Paris card

and her Vintage Sewing card.
You cannot tell from the picture, but she used wax on this card,
I love the effect and must try my hand at this technique one day.

Thanks so much, Natalea,
as always, this was fun!

enJOY Your Blessings,
Kimberly

My ABC Swap Is In The Mail!

I often say, that if it was not for last minute, I would never get anything done.
Marian (she does not have a blog) proposed this ABC book swap months ago, and while I was immersed in the creative thought process the whole time, I did not begin the actual physical process until last week.  Pages are due this Friday, so I am on time, however, not early.

My page is titled "Fannie and Fern, Friends Forever."
I created the title lettering in Photoshop, layering it onto a photo from my personal collection, and printed copies onto fabric (top photo).  The back side has a pocket to hold the flash-type card with all the "F" words I used.  So yes, it is true, I was/am Miss "F," no special reason, other than I waited too long to choose a letter and pickins had become slim.  See the last minute trend raise it's ugly head again?

I had a few extra images and decided to make some sachets, one for our hostess as a thank you gift and a couple for my shop.

Thanks for visiting, can anyone believe that in just 4 more days I will be 50 years and 50 days old, and one of you lovelies will be the winner of the basket of goodies!

enJOY Your Blessings,
Kimberly
