Just wanted you to know:

I spent part of this past weekend closing out my booth at the antiques mall,

you may have already noticed that I removed the link from my sidebar.

It was a bittersweet decision.

It had become obvious that I was giving up way too much

in the way of time and other projects I would much rather throw myself into,

and frankly, the financial rewards were too few.

I rented space for the past 15 months

and all in all, I am glad I did.

I met some lovely people I may have otherwise never met,

and setting up shop was fun.

If you are local, I may still bump into you from time to time,

I couldn't leave without spending $150.00

and promising to be back to shop.

Here It Is!

My booth at Burlington Antiques And Arts Emporium!

My own little 10'x10' playroom.

I am trying to create different color stories, hoping that this approach makes the look less chaotic.

I have 3 Christmas trees filled with handmade ornaments, and have a fourth I plan to take within the next few days.

My ornaments are all newly made using mostly vintage bits and pieces.

I love making these flower pins using vintage yo-yo quilt pieces, old lace, and mid-century buttons.

I am overJOYed with how everything is coming together.

I used canvas drop cloths to cover the walls, but I think I need to do something more to them.

I will pin some more lace doilies here and there to fill in some blank spots.

I still have more to do, but I wanted to share the look so far.

This Is Halloween!

I decorated my case at the antique's mall last Friday.  Mostly Black and White, touches of Cream and Sepia, and dabs of Orange.

I was so happy to receive a call on Sunday, that most of my Halloween creations have sold and I should restock asap!  How great is that?

I have been thinking about trying to move up to a booth as one becomes available, and there is one that will be vacant and ready for move-in on October 1st!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to start work on my new 10x10 play space.  I will be posting about plans and progress, I hope you join me for the ride.

Treasures

Just thought I would share a few of the treasures I found during my July hunts.

These are the blingy thingys I found here.

I love this ornate shadowbox with its beautiful velvet lining, and this crochet lace is simply scrumptious.


Chandelier crystals and vintage Christmas baubles are almost too beautiful, almost.
