Stash To Treasure Saturday
Overwhelming,
is the only way to describe the task at hand.
All of the lace in these pictures is probably 1/3 of my stash.
Following Marie Kondo's philosophy of keeping those things that "spark joy,"
I have dedicated some time to sorting my laces into
KEEP - those that spark the greatest joy
and
SELL - these spark joy too, but I cannot keep it all.
My KEEP laces have been meticulously grouped and carded.
They MUST fit in this antique sewing machine drawer.
I have also carded assorted laces for sale in my Etsy shop.
This isn't my usual Stash To Treasure Saturday post,
but let's all admit it,
if we find it hard to see the treasures in our stash,
it is time to do something about it.
happy, productive weekend my friends!
hugs,
Kim

My Very First White Wednesday!
This is a project I finished last week.
The embellishments are all thrifty finds,
the lace is from my mom,
and I had a vintage crochet pillow cover that fit the base perfectly,
serendipity at its best!
The mannequin was a steal (probably because it is a MANnequin).
I think it will be perfect for displaying jewelry at the antiques mall.
Thanks for visiting.

Kimberly

Flea Market Friday
These are more of the goodies I found last month along with all the dolls I wrote about, here.
I found a small group of vintage blingy buttons...
and just how wonderful is the French Poodle Pinochle deck of cards?
I am always on the lookout for old wood thread spools. It must be the romantic sewer in me.
I miss wood spools. Too many things are made of plastic today.
It's like buying a nice bottle of wine with a synthetic cork or heaven-forbid a screw top.
More cabinet cards, keys, pins and thread.
The vendor with the cabinet cards had bunches of Graduation pictures,
too bad I had a boatload of graduates this past spring.
This lace was my best find. It is a huge roll of a beautifully crocheted border,
not sure how many feet, but there are lots, and only $3.00.
I couldn't put that in my shopping bag fast enough.

Flea Market Friday
Just taking a moment to share some of my wonderful sepia treasures unearthed in July. How much do I love the pic of the faerie-cupid!
Beautiful old tintype photos, vintage curtain tacks, and a pile of lace. My idea of heaven!
I never have enough old white buttons!
These glamour gals will be used for Halloween. I hate to do it, but I'll be turning someone's great granny into a witch this year!
