Flea Market Friday

These are more of the goodies I found last month along with all the dolls I wrote about, here.
I found a small group of vintage blingy buttons...
and just how wonderful is the French Poodle Pinochle deck of cards?

I am always on the lookout for old wood thread spools.  It must be the romantic sewer in me.
I miss wood spools. Too many things are made of plastic today.
It's like buying a nice bottle of wine with a synthetic cork or heaven-forbid a screw top.

More cabinet cards, keys, pins and thread.
The vendor with the cabinet cards had bunches of Graduation pictures,
too bad I had a boatload of graduates this past spring.

This lace was my best find.  It is a huge roll of a beautifully crocheted border,
not sure how many feet, but there are lots, and only $3.00.
I couldn't put that in my shopping bag fast enough.

Not only did she send a most Whimsical Jar filled with all this amazing sweetness,

but she included an equally amazing assortment of beautiful vintage papers, button cards, and seam binding.

Love it, love it, love it!  Many thanks to you, Kathy.

Whimsy Jar Swap Goodness!!!

I was so pleased that one of my swap partners was our gracious hostess, Jessica. She wrapped my Whimsy Jar and all of its treasures in London Bridge sheet music. Jessica did not know this, but I have been to London twice and I dream of visiting again. I love, love, love England!!!
She packed so many lovely trinkets into that sweet jar. Every time I look at them I discover something I hadn't noticed before.

Some of my favorite pretties are the rhinestone blingies and paper roses!

The rose that Jessica used to decorate the jar top is awesome, it feels almost real to the touch!
...and yes, I do enJOY my jar!!!

My absolute favorite thing in and among all these wonders are the small plastic roses, one of them is just about center above. They look just like some of the buttons I have from my Grandma's button box.

Cannot thank you enough, Jessica, first for such a fun swap, and second for your generosity, in case I haven't made it perfectly clear, I love my Whimsy Jar!!!

Kimberly

Whimsy Jar Swap

Jessica is the gracious hostess of this Whimsy Jar Swap.

Jessica was also one of my swap partners, and this is the French inspired jar I created for her.

Pink, white, and creamy bits and bobs were gathered and packaged in the jar.

Vintage lace, seam bindings, wood thread spools, buttons from the 1940s were just a few of the trinkets included in this personalized assortment.

My second swap partner is Kathy,

and you can check out her blog to see what inspired the bunny theme.

Vintage hand crochet, dreamy old buttons in cotton candy colors,

mini tags, pink plastic clothes pins, and a brass bunny charm are just a few of the goodies I packed into this jar.
I hope you ladies love these half as much as I loved putting them together for you!
Thanks for visiting today,
& enJOY Your Blessings,
Kimberly
